Today I wrote about the ZIP System Wall and Roof Sheathing on my other blog. This exciting new sheathing product is sure to be a big component in many Green Construction projects.
The ZIP System combines a resin based OSB sheathing with moisture barriers applied to the exterior surface. The moisture barriers eliminate the need for housewraps and felt paper.
The real beauty of these new products is the ability to improve on the vapor barrier integrity and improve on total air sealing. This product is manufactured by the same company that makes AdvanTech sheathing. AdvanTech sheathing is a really great product that I swear by some I’m excited to try this newest product of theirs.
